We recommend that you do not look through the discard pile, unless specifically instructed to do so in one of the expansions. We believe the game is more fun this way, as it adds a challenge of memory to your strategy.
Absolutely!
You sure can! However, it is important to note that once a herd has been divided, it can never be recombined. This means that Herdvana will be impossible to achieve for that animal, so be careful when doing this!
You cannot 'Take the Discard' because there is nothing there to take.
You cannot 'Take the Discard' because there is nothing there to take. Any cards that have abilities that allow you to take cards from the discard pile will also not be able to use those abilities if played while the discard pile is empty.
If the defense is successful, the person who played the chameleon would get to use the ability of the card used in the attempted steal.
Yes! This is a unique thing that can happen when both expansions are played together and can add a lot of fun to the game.
A "full hand" is simply all of the cards in your hand at the start of your turn. That means that at the end of the game, when you are playing out all of the cards in your hand with no additional cards available to be drawn, a "full hand" could be as little as one card. Do with that information what you will...
Yes you can, but the Rattlesnake and it's negative effects remain attached to the card and also moves into your field.
Yes. 3 farmers played on the same herd over time, with some of them having been removed does not count. All 3 farmers have to be present in your field, on one single herd, at the same time.
You may achieve it immediately and Replenish that card in the Active Objective Cards Row again.
Yes, and that is a pretty good use of the Unicorn's powers.
Yes, and that is an excellent use of the Unicorn's powers. When the Manticore is removed from your field, you will increase your hand size by one card. You can use a Unicorn to remove a Carbuncle from your field as well. Why would you want to do that? Well, that's for you to figure out.
Yes. Farmers that are called away by a Siren should be relocated to the assigned herd, leaving the Protectors in place. The only exception is the Anubis; their amazing powers protects your entire field from all attacks, including the call of the Siren. This means that a field protected by the Anubis is immune to the call of the Siren.
You cannot 'Take the Discard' because there is nothing there to take. Any cards that have abilities that allow you to take cards from the discard pile will also not be able to use those abilities if played while the discard pile is empty.
Yes - you need ALL animals of each type in a super herd in order to achieve Herdvana for that herd. If there are four animal types in the herd, all four need all of the animals in order the achieve Herdvana. This can be a positive or a negative depending on how you strategize.
Yes! This is one of the most fun things about the Chimera. You could end up with a herd containing multiple (more than 2) animal types throughout the course of the game. This increases the chaos, makes the herd easier to steal, but also easier to defend, and ultimately much harder to achieve Herdvana. Again, this can be a positive or a negative depending on your strategy.
If the defense is successful, the person who played the chameleon would get to use the ability of the card used in the attempted steal.
This is acceptable, you just won't draw cards at the end of your turn, until you are back down to the normal amount of cards in hand. As an example, if you defended an attempted steal of a Phoenix herd with your own Phoenix card, the Phoenix's ability would be used twice (once for each Phoenix played, assuming two Phoenix's were played). This would result in you drawing 2 cards from the discard pile into your hand to end your turn. Then, you would not draw a card on your NEXT turn in order to get back down to the normal amount of cards in hand.
No one. If the Hydra is force-discarded from someone's hand via another card's ability, the Hydra is "dead" for the the rest of the game.
Nope. Taking "no action at all" means you cannot defend yourself either.
Since the Anubis protects your entire field, you should place it above all of your cards. See the illustration below for clarity.
